Board Members
Logan Martinez (President)
Mr Martinez is the founder of the Dayton Area Full Employment Council and the National Jobs for All Coalition., a coalition of activists and educators working to get national legislation that will create new employment opprotunities.
Lois Whealey (Ex-officio)
Ms. Whealey is a citizen activist in the rural Athens area for over 35 years. She served as a VISTA volunteer for two years with Rural Action and was a leader with its public policy/education division. She has previously served on the Ohio Environmental Council board as well as Ohio Alliance for the Environment. She is a founding board member of Organize Ohio and past board Chair.
Catrina Weber
Ms. Weber is on the board of the Contact Center in Cincinnati as well as being the board chair of the Ohio Empowerment Center, a coaltion of Ohio low- income groups.
Luther Smith
Mr. Smith is on the membership council of the Empowerment Center For Greater Cleveland. He is also the chair of the Northeast Ohio Economic Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign.
Les Stansbery
Rev. Stansbery is a retired minster who founded an organization in Columbus called the Community Organizing Center, an organization that organizes around low incomes issues in Columbus. He has been a long time activist in the Columbus area.
Carla Pittsinger
Ms. Pittsinger is a leader with the Miami Valley Full Employment Council. She also serves on the board of the Ohio Empowerment Coalition.
Tim Walters
Mr. Walters is a community organizer with the May Dugan Multi-Service Center in Cleveland He also serves as an organizer and staff person for the United Clevelanders Againist Poverty. He has been active in organizing around many other issues including public health, utilities, education and welfare.
Quo Vadis Ellision
Ms. Ellison is the founder of the Kinship Care Support Group and has been a tireless campaigner for the rights and needs of kinship care givers.
Mary Keith
Ms.Keith is the Cleveland Chair of Acorn and is active in a wide variety of issus ranging from public education to lead paint in older homes.
Carmen Gray
Ms. Gray is the president of the neighborhood associations called A Piece of Mind. she has also been active in the NAACP, The Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign and other community groups.
Allan Harris
Mr. Harris directs the Cincinnati National Technical Association, an African-American environmental organization.
Leona White
Ms. White serves on the Northwest Priority Board in Dayton and is a neighborhood leader working on issues of housing, education and other public issues.
Ramon Perez
Mr. Perez is a community organizer with the Lagrange Village Council in Toledo. He is a long time community activist working on a variety of issues affecting low income citizens.
